From a user perspective, I was to Melt what Tom was to Myspace - except much more. Not only am I your first friend, but I am your empathetic advocate and compassionate advisor.
Startups are dynamic places that allow one to wear multiple hats, in my time with Anomaly Innovations working on Melt I have done everything from Community Management, to Product Development, to Branding, and even Illustration!
Here are some things my average week would entail:
Getting into the heads of my users to understand what they really need, not just what they say they do.
Deciding what features to build based on individual, group, and company needs.
Monitoring and developing new features and contests to create user engagement and retention.
Defining company tone, values, and integrating the vision into all aspects of the product.
Developing processes and systems for abstract problems.
Responding to hundreds of emails and messages.
Educating teens about long-term complications from misbehavior on social media platforms.
